From what I know, if you get a a.s. in radiography it is easier to go on to mri or anything else you want to persue. I think they have some of the same core classes. The only reason you would need a b.s in radiography is if you want to maybe teach, otherwise as long as you have an a.s and past the registry you are okay.

Check with hospitals in your area. Take a look at any position offered in the Radiology department ... darkroom (if they still have one), film library (ditto). Tech assistant - that's popular in a lot of places now.
Good luck - you've got the right idea. Do whatever you have to do to get back in it.

Whether or not you have a tattoo is irrelevant.

I'm in college and i'll be getting into the radiography program for MRI soon. i want to get a tattoo, but i dont know if the x-rays will have an affect on the tattoo. or more important, if me having a tattoo will jeopardize me from getting a job on that field. im not going to get a tattoo on the forearms, neck, or any place visable. but i do want one one my upper arm or back where no1 can see it. if anyone has any info on tattoos and x-rays will be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.

Good luck on the registry!
As far as jobs, you just need to do searches for your area. Look at hospitals, doctors offices, etc.
