I just took my test yesterday, and the preliminary score on the final screen said that I scored a 73! Is there any way that that score will increase on the actual score? Maybe someone has taking it this semester and have gotten their results already. I'm stressing out, and I don't know whether I should plan on taking it again. Help! Thanks

Hi Everyone,

I just got into ultrasound school and will be starting in August. I know there will be a lot of clinical work involved in school and was wondering if anyone could tell me what we will be learning to scan in clinicals. I know we will do abdomens, but what else will be scanning? For instance, will we learn to scan lymph nodes in lab? Any information you could give me would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Indie music mostly, but I could say that I like just about anything. I have a very very eclectic taste. My favorite band has got to be Death Cab for Cutie and my favorite artist right now is probably Ben Jelen. But Ella Fitzgerald is good for relaxing at work Smile

Hi,

I am asking other techs to please post the way in which your hospital carries out emergent call of technologists.
Do you have emergent call? If not, why?
What do you do instead?

I'm looking for new ideas to present to my manager to either eliminate or improve how call of techs is carried out. Call at my hospital SUCKS, for the simple fact that a)most of the techs here feel as though it's a nuisance to be called in or b) would be worthless when they got here IF they came at all.

Any and all ideas/comments are greatly appreciated and if any part of this message is unclear, or I need to go into further detail, just let me know. Thanks so much!

Hello,
Im working on building an ultrasound system
Im not really sure about some structure im seeing.

here is a full cross sectional image of my forearm
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~jmacione/cropped.bmp

Here is the region of interest.
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~jmacione/p3.bmp

So what are the little hypoechoic holes (2mm) with what appears to be hyperechoic perimeters around y=8 x=20?
Are they subcutanous fat? Is tehre normally some kind of membrane around it? and whats the terminology. Are they vessels? The anatomy books im looking at appear to show fat in these areas and relatively few vessles.

here are some figures from atlas of cross sectional anatomy, the same areas appear.
