Hi,
My facility is considering purchasing a used OEC 9800 c-arm. We're a small outpatient surgery facility and need a c-arm that would do well with a variety of procedures including orthopedic cases, pain management, and general surgery (i.e., lap chole's and ERCP's).
I would appreciate any feedback from techs who have used this equipment.
Thanks!

I'm not burned out, I've just started the program. My mind's just boggled right now, I've been working out, I don't have alot of outside friends but that's due to me not allowing people in, I guess but for the most part I'm not depressed or anything of that sort. It's probably just a plain case of laziness.
Right now I'm studying the skull, I heard it's the most difficult from the rest but it seems the simplest since there's only 16 views I have to study.
Antral floors?! What are they? I know I already asked but seriously, what are they?
ex. projection: parietoacanthial projection P.A. Water Position (Mahoney used 37 degree)
= = The petrous pyramid should be projected below the antral floors.
If Orbitomeatal Line is more than 37 deg. the antra are foreshortened.
Is this something to do with the nasal area?

Ha! Get used to it, darlin'.
Periods of unmotivation, uninspiration seem to be not unusual for many human beings.
I confess, my nickname at work is "Bunny". Know who that's named for? Bunny ... as in "the Energizer". Partly it's because I'm obsessive, partly because I'm arrogant, and partly becuase I LOVE what I do and I'm dang good at it.
And yet, I have afternoons when I am SO unplugged, all I can do is watch the clock. Doesn't happen often. Doesn't last long.
Watch things like:
Have you taken any significant time off where you were NOT working on school?
Are you eating nutritiously?
Are you sleeping enough?
Are you paying attention to family and friends that make you feel good when they're around?
All of those things help stave off burn out. Burn out doesn't just occur to seasoned radiographers and other professionals. At the moment, your "profession" is student. And you can fry from that.
So look at what you're doing (or not doing). Give yourself and break and remember that nothing .. not even burn out .. lasts. It'll pass.
